DESCRIPTION
TUBE PIN CONNECTORS
- Information: Use Tube PinConnectors over common ferrules.Tube Pins provide the following advantages in three differentTube Pin Connector Types: Insulated, Non-insulated and Twin Wire.EASY wire insertion in a terminal block clamp, specifically smaller gauge (24through 18 awg).NO unwanted wire contacts. Tube Pin Connectors eliminate the possibilitythat strands might accidentally touch another unit creating a poor connectionor even power shortages.NO spreading of strands after the wire is clamped into a terminal block orany other component.NO fraying of strands, particularly in cases where the wire is very small or isremoved often from its housing for testing purposes.Use Tube Pin connectors in place of tinning wire.PERMANENT crimping of two (jumper connection) wires beforeinsertion in the wire clamp (Twin Wire Tube Pin Connectors).PERFECT for terminating wire in “High Density” areas where lack ofspace makes it difficult to break connections, such as brick units or PLC’s.THE TUBE PIN ADVANTAGE:• Improves your stranded wire connections to set screws, terminal strips and circuit boards by providing a smooth, flat surface at the point of contact for increased conductivity.• Quickly converts stranded wire to a single conductor.• Eliminates damage done to soft copper strands by set screws.• Eliminates the need for tinning or twisting wires, which is time consuming and sacrifices your wire flexibility. • Eliminates cross arcing and over-heating caused by wire strands that hang up.• Tube pin connectors become the wear point when wires are frequently reconnected.• Tube pin connectors are not only compatible with West European terminal strips and equipment, they can be identified by COLOR.• TWIN WIRE Connectors reduce congestion in heavy volume areas, particularly where insertion of two wires in the same terminal block clamp is required.
- Instructions: 1. Insert cleaned wire into the insulated end of the Tube Pin connector.2. Using crimp tool, place the metal shaft in the tool’s appropriate spot and crimp.3. Insert the crimped Tube Pin connector into the terminal block.4. Tighten the Tube Pin connector and wireinto the terminal block.
